Who this notice covers

“CLASO,” “we,” and “us” mean the student-founded CLASO project and its team. This notice covers only the public website and the sandbox linked from it. It does not cover third-party websites or any separate school service that may be linked from elsewhere.

Information handled when you visit

Hosting and security. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical connection and request information, which can include your IP address, the page requested, request time, browser and device details, referring page, and network data. Cloudflare uses information handled through its network to deliver the site and help protect it. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Performance measurement. Cloudflare currently injects a Web Analytics performance beacon on the site. It measures page-load and navigation timing and sends those metrics to Cloudflare. Cloudflare says this analytics product does not collect visitors’ personal data or track individual end users across customer websites. Cloudflare’s separate hosting and security processing described above still applies. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

CLASO does not operate accounts, advertising, targeted-ad tracking, or a visitor profile database on this public site. We do not sell personal information collected through it.

If you email us

The contact links open your own email app; nothing is sent to us until you choose to send a message. If you email [email protected], we receive the sender address and whatever you include in the message or attachments. The address is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox. We use messages to respond and manage the conversation. Cloudflare and Google process the message as part of providing those services and apply their own privacy terms, including Google’s Privacy Policy.

Please do not email real student records, grades, health details, passwords, or other sensitive information. The public site is not a secure channel for school records.

The school portal sandbox

The sandbox is a visual demo, not a real school portal. Names, classes, schedules, and assignments shown there are examples. It has no sign-in, backend, or connection to school records. Anything you type or change in its demo controls stays in that page’s memory, is not sent to CLASO, and disappears when you reload or close the page. Please do not enter real personal or school information.

Cookies and similar technology

The CLASO website code does not set cookies or use advertising pixels. Cloudflare’s performance analytics is described as cookie-free. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies or a browser challenge if its security services require them. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. See Cloudflare’s cookie information.

Use, sharing, and storage

We use information you choose to email us to reply and keep track of the conversation. We rely on Cloudflare to host, deliver, measure performance, and protect the site, and on Cloudflare Email Routing and Google Gmail to receive and handle email. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect people, rights, or the security of the site.

We keep email correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain project records. Cloudflare and Google may retain technical or email data under their own policies and settings. These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on the laws that apply where you live, you may be able to ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have sent to us, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may ask for reasonable information to confirm that the request is yours. You can also manage Cloudflare-related cookies in your browser settings.

Children and school information

The sandbox is only a sample interface and must not be used to store or share a child’s or student’s real information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us at [email protected] so we can review the request.
